Chris Wood

A part of The English Acoustic Collective and another ofb this year's musicians also in The Imagined Village, Chris Wood, has been described by no less a publication, The Irish Times, as "The renaissance man of English Folk."
If my memory serves me correctly, Chris first played Cambridge back in 1994 alongside Andy Cutting, his most recent sighting as part of afore mentioned English Acoustic Collective with Robert Harbron and John Dipper. In 2005
2005 was the year he picked up Folk Award Best Song for "One In A Million". It's not a coincidence that Chris is being recognised as much for his writing as he is for his performance.
It doesn't take much of a listen to Wood's must recent album, "Trespasser", on his own R.U.F. records to recognise a man at the top of his craft. A wordsmith as much as an instrumentalist. It's a real bonus to have all that ability tied into a single package.
